Turbosound
All your bass are belong to us. At theProjects we decided we would use only the most legendary sound component company in history for all of our events, Turbosound. We have a total of 24 cabinets. Together they form a wicked wall of sound 6 feet high and 25 feet in length. Twelve of the subwoofers TFS-780L use 21″ drivers and weigh over 200lbs each.
We are glad they have wheels. The bass from these is astounding. They will literally blow dry your hair at 20 paces. The top end of the system is comprised of Turbosound’s TFS-780H components. These are a three way cabinet design utilizing one 12″ cone one 8″ cone and one 1″ high frequency driver. Its pretty much magical the way these components work together. The original goal in the design of this system was to blow up coliseums with audiophile quality sound. Pink Floyd used this system on their Division Bell Tour, not to mention Iron Maiden and more. Nuff said. The system flat out kills it.
Oh and these speakers need power right? Yes of course, thats why we are using the most indestructible power amps ever made. The Crown Macrotech series amps are the perfect solution to the kinds of insane venues we like to play in. They look pretty old school but seriously, this is the kind of power Africa Bambaataa would pull out when he dusted fools in the Bronx.
Back then it was all about who had the loudest system, and b
attles for system pink slips. If you didn’t want to lose your gear, you had to come with the best. These amps are the best. The new light weight power switching digital amps just don’t cut it when you need to slam the bass at 2 ohms night after night. We have 8.
All of this needs a precision crossover and the JBL DSC 280 covers it.
